NEW PLANTATION RETAILER BUBBY’S GIVING AWAY
ONE THOUSAND SILK “AMERICAN FLAG” TIES TO ENCOURAGE VOTING

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 24, 2004                                          Contact: Libby Parker (954) 424-3161

(Plantation, FL)…Starting this week, new Plantation retailer Bubby’s is giving away American flag-themed,
“made in America” neckties to anyone who comes into the store and promises to vote in the upcoming election.
Absolutely free.

Over one thousand ties will be given away.

“We want to remind people to get out and vote,” says Bubby’s co-owner Libby Parker. “And what better way to
show your patriotism than with an American flag tie?”

The ties, which are 100% silk, retail at approximately $30 each and will be available on a first come-first serve
basis from Wed., Oct. 27 through Election Day, Tues., Nov. 2, 2004.

In addition to giving away the free ties, the store will feature live demonstrations showing the art of actually
handcrafting a tie.

“One of the biggest challenges facing our country today is the outsourcing of jobs to foreign countries,” Parker
explains. “So in addition to picking up a free tie, you will actually see how the product is made…not only in the
USA, but right inside our Plantation store.”

Parker hopes the free ties will remind people of how precious the right to vote is, and the importance of casting
their ballot.

“If we can do our part to get people to the polls, then we’ve done a great service for our country,” she said.

Since its June 2004 debut, Bubby’s has become known as the place to be for the savvy man, woman and child looking for
fashionable accessories, unique toys, and much more at "can't leave it there" prices.  Whether for yourself, gift giving,
entertaining or beyond, Bubby’s has what you want…at a price you’ll love.

The store is located at 10073 Cleary Blvd. (Next to Publix at the intersection of Cleary Blvd. and Nob Hill Road).

Hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. Tie-crafting demonstrations will take place from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. each day
from Oct. 27 through Election Day.
