INDIVIDUAL PROJECT QUOTES
Your project is unique, and that’s how we'll price it. We quote a flat rate for each individual project
based on research, etc.
EACH QUOTE INCLUDES:
Review of available background materials.
Review of any available competitor materials .
Suggestions, ideas, concepts, and approaches (where applicable).
Any research, meetings, and interviews required.
All copywriting/copyediting work, including (but not limited to): outlines, first, second and final drafts.
Two rounds of revisions.
All minor expenses (postage, courier, long distance phone calls, etc.).
We make every effort to work within limited budgets. Please contact me directly for a precise quote on
your project. In certain cases, I will also consider bartering for services. 501c3 organizations enjoy a
20% discount.
HOURLY RATES
Writing/Editing (Writing new copy or fixing existing copy)
$75 per hour 2-hour minimum
Proofreading (Correcting for punctuation/grammar. No rewriting of copy.)
$45 per hour 800-1,000 words per hour
COMMON PROJECT FEE RANGES (Note - these are ballpark ranges only. Individual fee will
depend on size/scope of project. Some projects may quote lower than these estimates, and some
higher.)
Brochure (trifold or multi-page) $200-500 (per 300 words)
Sales letter (up to 2 pages) $ 250-750 per page
Article (for trade journal placement) $1/word
White paper or special report $1/word
Promotional postcard $130 +

EDITING AND PROOFREADING MONTHLY RETAINER RATES
Flexible retainer rates are available in three versions. This is ideal for "little" projects that take a limited
amount of time( between one and five pages), that need editing and proofreading. By keeping me on
retainer, you can call me at any time during the month with a small project, we'll turn it around quickly,
and there's not hassle, individual project paperwork, individual agreements, etc.
$375 per month (1-5 projects per month)
$760 per month (6-10 projects per month)
$1125 per month (11-15 projects per month).
If more than fifteen projects per month, rate will be $1125 plus $75 per project from the sixteenth on.
TERMS
Balance due within 15 days of delivery. Copyright transfers to you upon receipt of payment in full. All
copy revisions must be assigned within 30 days of receipt of copy. 50% deposit required on all projects
over $1000 at time of quote acceptance. Projects less than $1000 require payment in full up front.
